On behalf of Karate Canada, I am very pleased to invite your Association's members to take part in the 7th Commonwealth Karate Championships 2013, which will be held in Montreal, Canada, from October 11 to 13, 2013.

It is an honor for Karate Canada to be hosting this prestigious event for the first time, and the organizing committee will do its utmost to offer the best facilities and services for all participants.

Please find attached our official letter of invitation.

We are also pleased to announce that online registration for this event is now officially open, via SportData, and will remain open until September 15th, 2013; you may click here in order to register your team and delegation. Please note that one single permission will be given per National Sport Organization, so please be sure that there is only one administrator dealing with the registrations in Sport Data.

Additionally, Karate Canada has recently launched the official website of the event, which may be found at: www.karatecommonwealth2013.com.

You will  find all the information you need on this website, such as information on registration and fees, visa procedures, accommodations, divisions, competition schedule, competition rules, etc. Please consult this website frequently as news and information will be updated regularly.

Finally, the 7th Commonwealth Karate Championships 2013 is also present in social networks! We encourage you to subscribe to our official Facebook page by clicking here.

We count on your important presence in order to make this a most successful and memorable event, and look forward to greeting you in Canada soon!

(Please note that all participating teams must be members in good standing of WKF-recognized national karate governing bodies, and these national associations must in turn also be members in good standing of the Commonwealth Karate Federation; non-members may find information on how to join the CKF on the Championship's official website.)

Please don't hesitate to contact us housed you require further information.

Attached on the PDF documents are the details of the forthcoming SKGB Kata Championships.

The competition for 2011 will be run as three separate style championships, WADO-RYU; SHOTOKAN; and SHITO-RYU. There will therefore be a Scottish Champion for each category in their respective style. The semi finalists from each category will then go forward to the “All Styles” Championship. Each style will be responsible for judging their own group and selected judges from each group will then be responsible for the “All Style” finals. In the team and pairs events all competitors will compete in an all styles category only.
