Attached a report and some photos of JKS Scotland active schools grading held on Saturday 21st March.
Over 1000 students graded form 70 schools in Fife.

Nominations for the positions should be e-mailed or posted to the SKGB office to be received no later than close of business on Monday 6th April 2015.

The Scottish Karate Governing Body will be holding an Open day on Sunday 19th April 2015.

Venue: Dakota Hotel Euro Central, Motherwell.
Time: Drop in anytime between 10am until 2pm.

The SKGB would like to invite local authority representatives, Active School managers & co-ordinators, SKGB members and karate groups outwith the SKGB.

Aim of the open day

To have a friendly and open discussion with interested parties and inform them of the structure and services the Scottish Karate Governing Body have to over offer.

On the day Sportscotland will have representation in attendance and the following SKGB departments will be represented and will be available for informal discussions.

Child Protection - Minimum Operating Requirements (MOR)
PVG scheme membership
International interests
Sport - Pathways
Refereeing - commission
Women’s interests
Club and coach accreditation.
SKGB membership

James Coulter has been awarded 'Evening Times Young Sport Person of the Year for 2014' this is 2 years in a row James has won this and helped promote karate.

He was also awarded a grant from Sports Aid Scotland by long standing sponsor 'The Robertson Trust' charity
